In January 2025, Japanese conglomerate Fujitsu Limited announced the start of the process of selling all of its shares in Fujitsu General Limited - a company specializing in air conditioning and heat pump equipment - to Paloma Rheem Holdings Co., Ltd.
Once the transaction is finalized and formalized, announced in the second half of 2025, Fujitsu General Limited will become a subsidiary of the global Paloma Rheem Group. Under the new structures, Fujitsu General Limited will develop its technology and sales capabilities, with an eye on expanding into new markets.
The Paloma Rheem Group includes two key subsidiaries: Paloma Co., Ltd. a leading manufacturer of gas-fired water heaters in Japan, and Rheem Manufacturing Company, a company established in the United States with dynamic operations in the heating and air conditioning sectors in North America, South America, Australia and New Zealand.
Klima-Therm Sp. z o.o. - General Distributor of Fujitsu brand air conditioners and heat pumps in Poland and Scandinavia - informs that the change in Fujitsu General's strategic investor does not affect its operations or distribution policy for Fujitsu brand equipment.
